He has three badges on his upper right arm: RCAF Eagle Shoulder Flash, an RCAF Wireless Operator and Sergeant Chevrons. He has a moustache and his smile shows his teeth. The negative was accompanied by three other similar portraits. The negatives came in the same brown paper bag with "6353 King R.E. (Sgt) No. 5 Radio School , Ont." written on it in blue ink.
