Plane Crash
about 1940-1944
Black and white Image of an airplane that crashed into a field. The plane landed on a fence. The back end of the airplane does not look damaged but the wings are bent forward and the cockpit area is crumpled. The number of the airplane is "1296". The negative was kept in a small brown paper bag with "5969 Plane Crash Sky Harbour" written on it in pencil and black ink. Also in the paper bag were additional 5 additional images of the plane crash (A992.0003.207, A992.0003.208, A992.0003.210, A992.0003.211, A992.0003.212).
