about 1940-1945

Black and white image of a bride and groom having their picture taken outside. The bride is holding on to the groom's left arm. The groom is wearing an air force uniform with an RCAF Eagle Shoulder Flash, Canada Shoulder Title and Corporal Chevrons on his sleeves and glasses. The bride is wearing a floor-length light coloured dress with long sleeves. She is wearing a long veil, glasses, and a double stranded necklace. She is holding a bouquet of flowers. There are trees and a fence in the background of the picture. The negative (labelled a) was accompanied by six black and white prints (labelled b - g) and one proof (labelled h). The negative, print and proof were kept in a brown envelope with "1113 Miss Lavis Deposit 10.00 Sepia? Write Mrs Lavis 35 Raglan Ave Toronto Best one of Bride 8 more B & G" written on it in pencil. Also in the envelope were additional pictures of the wedding party and just the bride (A992.0003.202, A992.0003.203, A992.0003.205, A992.0003.206).
