M. J. Ainslie Meats
about 1940-1945
Black and white image of a store window with a display encouraging people to buy victory bonds. "M. J. Ainslie Meats" is printed on the store window. The display is full of posters with slogans like: "I save my pennies", "Speed the Victory - Buy Victory Bonds", "I save my dollars", "In times like this save money", "I am a hawk for stamps", "Children's pennies did this What will your $$$$ do?", "Victoria School we are buying to help Speed the Victory." Evergreen trees, flags, and two owls are also decorating the window. The negative was kept in a brown envelope with "1008 Victory Loan Windows" written on it in blue ink and pencil. Also in the envelope were two negatives of other store windows advertising victory bonds (A992.0003.194 & A992.0003.195).
