Mr. & Mrs. Barrington and Wedding Party

about 1940-1945

Black and white image of a bride and groom and their wedding party taken in a studio. The groom and the man standing to his right are wearing uniforms with RAF Eagle Shoulder Flashes. The groom also has a Lead Aircraftman badge on his sleeve. The bride is wearing long white dress and veil with headpiece. She is holding a bouquet of flowers trimmed with ribbon in her left hand. The four other females in the picture are also wearing long, light coloured dresses with hats and veils. They are also wearing gloves and holding small bouquets. The negative (labelled a) was accompanied by ten photographic prints (labelled b - k) with different exposures and two proofs (labelled l & m). The negative and photographs were kept in a brown envelope with "949 Barrington F.T. Town Wedding Photos 1/2 day Ea 8 x 10 18.00 Dep 5.00 Bal. 13.00" written on it in blue ink. Also in the envelope was the photograph of just the bride and groom (A992.003.174).
