No. 24 Astro Course

about 1940-1945

Black and white image of No. 24 Astro Course at No. 31 Air Navigation School in Port Albert. There is a single row of men in uniform sitting on chairs inside. In all copies of the photograph the men are identified by last name. In the negative and one copy of the picture, the names appear across the men's chests. In another copy the names are written above their heads and "No. 24 Astro Course" is written in blue ink. "Henderson Studio Photo No 6" appears in the bottom right hand corner of all the photographs and the negative. (L to R): Sgt. Douglas-Browne, Sgt. Kite, Sgt. Bargh, F/O Sokolowski, F/Lt. Harrison, F/Lt Booth, P/O Barr, F/O Kurek, Sgt. Webb Original negative (labelled a) accompanied by 2 black and white/sepia photographs with different exposures (labelled b - c). The photographs and negative were kept in a black envelope with "851 RAF Port Albert No. 6" written in blue ink on a white label.
